Over the past seven seasons, the company has grown and prospered, and an audience member is assured of an excellent performance.

Dear Voyager,

Has there ever been a summer more anticipated? We welcome the shared experience of live theatre that is finally within reach.

While the theatres were dark, Odyssey Opera was honored to share with you recording projects instead throughout the 2020-2021 season in anticipation of meeting in person. Our co-production of Norman Dello Joio’s The Trial of Rouen with Boston Modern Orchestra Project received a 2021 GRAMMY® nomination for Best Opera Recording, and earlier this month, we launched the world premiere release of Charles Gounod’s La reine de Saba, with the world premiere releases of Camille Saint-Saëns’s Henry VIII and Arnold Rosner’s The Chronicle of Nine on the horizon.

We now sail ahead with clearing skies. The opera world has recently experienced a rebranding—a universal approach to impactful programming that influences and resonates with today’s audiences. Odyssey Opera will lead these forces with upcoming seasons dedicated to discovery, tribute, and celebration. We have significant announcements and performances approaching that are designed to engage, inform, and delight. Odyssey Opera is thrilled that soon we will be able to share these future voyages with you.

Be on the watch for news of rising sails later this summer. Until then, take a look at our latest video reflecting on where we’ve been as we look ahead to the exciting excursions to follow. Thank you, as always, for being stalwarts onboard the Odyssey and for continuing the journey with us.

With gratitude,

Gil Rose
Artistic and General Director
